Kitchen Therapy

That's not a TV or a computer in the corner of my kitchen.  That is a digital photo frame.  I've connected a thumb drive that has thousands of pictures of our family starting from the time we got our first digital camera.

Seeing our family in lots of different situations and the kids at different ages reminds me to be thankful for the "then," and also thankful for the now.  Life has truly been sweet and full.

Books of the Week:

I finished two outstanding books this week...
Thanks, Stacy!

Thanks, Holly!
We listened to "Stowaway" in the car.  Our entire family - and a van-ful of adventure racers - enjoyed it very much!

Mercy and I went with the boys to the Go-4-12 National Adventure Race.  6am - 6pm...12 hours of stream-bashing up to their chests, rafting, trekking, biking.

It made the front page of our local paper, but nobody on the team likes the article at all (Noah front page) because, as Sue put it, "It makes them sound like a bunch of big-headed bogans."  :)

Danny was on a fast intermediate team, convinced to participate when Calum told him about the "mean feed" after the race.  Oak went out on a limb and organized his own junior team, which meant he was responsible for the "nav" (navigating).

Nick and Annie are another force behind the success of the NPBHS/NPGHS adventure racing teams. They compete internationally as a couples team.
